Hello everybody,
I am not quite new on this forum as I used to post on the previous fordson forum. Anyhow I hope somebody can help me out:
My Dexta is a difficult starter. It will give blue smoke (diesel) and the prime pump and glow plug are functioning. So I went to search for lack of compression. While running there is no excess pressure in the oilpan or valvecover, but I noticed that 1 of the shields covering the injection chambers is leaking (these 3 triangle shaped shields bolted on the left side of the cylinder head).
I found that the copper washers under these shields are not circular but more eccentric and not closing properly. Does somebody know if these washers should be there, and if yes if they have to be circular or not quite. Probably somebody has an exploded view of these parts?
Thanks!
Joep

Joep,
these copper washers should be there to have that chamber closed.
Fordson partnuber : 957E-6K003
Shape : original : round / circular
But the shape is not the most important, it is only important that the plate is sealed.
I have once installed new ones and they had the same shape as the cover-plate.
