removal of fuel sender unit 4610

hi, does anyone know how to remove the sender unit on a 4610 with q / bubble cab?
i have earthed the cable so proved the wiring and gauge, so by elimination the sender unit is most likeley u/s
any tips welcome, ta, rich.

If it's like the 4600 with a Q cab (and I think that it is) remove the instrument panel, and on the right hand side base you'll see a removable circular panel - 4 screws iirc - that lifts up. Under it is the sound deadening felt that has a corresponding disk part punched that removes. Under that is the fuel sender. It's a tight, small hole to work through but supposedly it's possible

hi, ta for reply, i found the removable plate, but find it hard to belive sender unit will come out through it!!

hi, well sender unit is now out!!
far easier than i thought.
float was missing, and electrically dead!
