Rear axle oil checking bolt

My 4600 has a small allen bolt which needs to be loosened to check the rear axle oil level. It's not the easiest thing to get to but it's obvoius its been damaged. Does anyone know the following:
What size Allen key to use. This will give me the best chance to get it out.
What size bolt it is. I would like to get a replacement before I take out the old one.
