Ford 4610 cab

Post by Jeff4wd »

Hi

Does anybody know whether it is possible to fit a 5610 Cab onto a 4610 tractor and if so, is it a lot of trouble or is it a transplant too far!?

Thanks
Jeff

When the cab was introduced it was the same cab on all the range from 2000 to 5000. It dwarfed the 2/3000 but Fords answer was that you did not have to be small to drive the smaller tractor. Later on the AP cab was introduced and these evolved over the years. You might check the sticker in the cab roof which gives the models the cab is approved for, that will give you a guide.

I do not think you will have too much trouble structure wise, the problems might come with the gear linkage/hydraulic linkage.

Hi Brian

Thanks for your reply.

Is the H pattern column change going to be difficult to remove? Also, from the pictures I have seen it looks like the handbrake is on the opposite side on the AP to the LP?

Thanks
Jeff
