I believe that the wiring end of the button type solenoid use to have a rubber cover. If so, does anyone know where to get them or know of a suitable substitute?
Stefan's site shows it here on the right
Many thanks
Andy

There are plenty of web sites who cater for motorists and who have a good selection of wiring accessories etc., where you may find what you are looking for the following are just a few.

By coincidence i lathed apart a solenoid with rubber cap last weekend and gave the rubber end to my youngest son. If he still has it and you still need one I'll send it.
BTW that solenoid failed through water ingress after 2 years and sadly it was from Malcolm Hipperson. But he replaced it without question.

Hi Rob
If you still have the cap I'll definitely have it!
Work pressures has slowed down the dexta's restoration but I can see a few opportunities for some tractor tinkering coming up. Many thanks for the front axle carrier you donated. It is now in Doncaster with my folks and is heading my way in the next couple of weeks, about the same time as my front axle pivot spacers will be ready.
Regards
Andy
