Post by Crawlerlad »

hi all, I have a ford 6610 2wd with tanco 878 loader, she has always been good at steering but just lately when I get a haulage bale on the front she is hard to steer, does anybody know what the problem is

What steering set up do you have? Is it full hydrostatic, or is the steering box under the fuel tank with a drag link to the front axle?

I would likely start with the pump. Check the fluid level in the reservoir and make sure the filter is not collapsed.

Most hard steering issues that I have had on any of our Fords has been a result of a low fluid level.
