back end of a doe.

Post by cookie77 »

hi all my dad recently bought a fordson super major and the farmer said it used to be a doe, is there any tell tale sings that make it the back end of a doe? i saw it very quickly when we went to pay for it and i noticed that there was a hole cut in the front casting maybe for pipes or somthing, there was no plate on the bonnet, but the rear lift arms look to have been made stronger. the farmer told us a story of where it went to be turned into two tractors and on the old type log book its down as part tractor? any info or things to check for would really help as we are newbies to fordsons, we are looking to turn this back to a doe so any info on parts or tip offs for parts would be realy appreciated thanks in advance.

many thanks.

I think the hole is used for the drive to the hydraulic pump used for the steering.
