Sorry if this sounds daft but how on earth do I get the oil pressure switch off? The oil warning light stays permanently on and goes off only if I remove the lead from the switch. Just to head off any obvious concerns about engine damage, it has just had an oil change and a rewire (there was no wire t io the switch before I rewired it).
The nut sits behind the wider body and there isn't enough room to get a spanner behind it!

Re: Oil pressure switch - how to get it off
here's my problem - is this normal? All oil senders I've come across have a large nut where the circular body is on mine. The nut is just behind the circular body with no room for a spanner.

if you can get hold of a plumbers wrench or a basin spanner for tighting
taps on a wash hand basin , it will take the nut off, easy enough
or something similar

Thin spanner?
Beware of replacements, I had two from A@@@line, they both leaked badly, then they sent me one from an earlier batch, which is OK.

Re: Oil pressure switch - how to get it off
Thanks both
I have a plumbers wrench somewhere (the one with the self locking jaws) but I'm not confident it will work so I'm going to buy a set of stubby spanners. I measured the AF with a miniature venier and it is 15mm.
Thanks for the tip on Agriline switches, I'll shop around

Re: Oil pressure switch - how to get it off
Update on what should have been an easy fix. I tried a cranked spanner and a stubby but no joy, there was not enough leverage so I cut the switch body (that the nut was hiding behind) at 90 degrees with a Bosch mini cutter and then chiseled it off so I could get to the nut; then it came off with a socket no problem. Anyway it was the switch and my oil light now goes out!
Thanks for the advice
Mike
