Sirs,Removed the top cover from the rear end last night, and my suspections of a diff lock was confirmed. My 51 e27n P6 has a Darlington solid axle drive. Operated by a hand lever on the right hand side of the rear end. It is not a diff lock, but a lock between the two large final drive gears. Is this a common feature on e27n's? Was this a factory option , or a aftermarket option. Thanks Regards TK IP: Logged |

Hi TK,The Darlington Solid Axle Drive is quite rare. I have only seen them in a Sales Brochure. They were an after market item. You are very lucky to have this item. BarryM IP: Logged |

There should be a copy of the leaflet on the board for this dif. lock. Barry from Aus. sent a copy to me and I posted it on here some time ago. Try a search.------------------ Kind regards Brian [This message has been edited by Brian (edited October 18, 2007).] IP: Logged |
