Sir,I am trying to find information about a Hydreco pump that was part of a Sherman Power Digger, backhoe, that was attached to a late 1950's to a early 1960's Fordson Major Diesel tractor. I have looked at the locations for the serial numbers and the BOS plate and or other places show no serial number. I have the manual for the backhoe and it shows the schematic and parts list for the Hydreco pump. The location of the pump is below and forward of the right foot pedals. I don't have the pump, but do know that it should have 6 splines in the shaft. I got that information out of the tractor. Also, the distance from the hydraulic attachment plate to the Front End Loader Arm is 11". Thanks for your help. Allan Meredith Galt, California, USA IP: Logged |

I have a manual some where. Probably the same one you have. What are you triing to find out? I have a pump that may be similar. It was on my dexta fitted to the PTO. Unfortunatly the case is cracked. If I get a chance I could look up if they are the same pump at some point. I have seen a couple on ebay over the last few years but I think they must have been made of gold.Don IP: Logged |

Don,Thanks for the reply, but we may be talking 2 different pumps. The location of the pump for my tractor would be where belt pulley was located on the right side center of the tractor. The pump had a 6 spline shaft. Do you have a picture or a diagram of the pump that you have? Allan IP: Logged |

I will take a picture of it over the weekend. Will have to email it to you. The shaft is 6 spline and about 1 inch diameter. The mounting flange is round with 6 holes. I will measure better when I take a picture of it. I will try to find the name of a company that I was going to bye a pump from. It has been a while and I got a pump on Ebay very cheap so didn't end up buying from them. I will also find my manuals and see if the part # are the same.IP: Logged |

I took some pictures but I don't have a web site to put them on. If you post your email I will send them to you. The shaft is 1". The bolt circle is 3.5". The iner flange is 2.625" . Forgot to measure the length of the shaft. There are numbers on the tag. I could get those if you need. Did not have a chance to look at the part # yet. Not sure which model you have. If you can post a picture I can try to match it in the manuals I have.Don IP: Logged |
