Patient: 62 Dexta Diesel

Symptom: Hydraulic control lever is stuck in mid/center position not being able to move up and down the quadrant (well maybe and inch in total).

Positiong of hydraulic lifting arms is only fully up by apply constant upward pressure to the control lever or fully down when no pressure is applied. This occurs in both selector positions (quanlitrol/position).

Changing the quanlitrol/position selector will cause the control lever to shift it's position slightly and the lift arms will travel further down in draft position.

Prognosis/Diagnosis Please? Need to Operate ASP.

Three possibilities.

1. Fibre drive on lever is stuck to metal.

2. Linkage inside the lift has jammed or is bent. The control lever does not work directly onto the control valve but through a series of springs and levers.

3. Control valve is stuck.

Taking the lift off is not a bad job. Its just a bit heavy and a bit of a fiddle. Don't lift the arms up as you lift off the lift, make sure they stay in the lowered position as the rocker will foul the axle housing.
