When the engine of a F, N or E27N is replaced, the engine numbers will sometimes deviate.
In addition, I think it is useful to mention that the engine number of the replacement engine was stamped by Fordson mechanics into the flange edge of the gearbox, on the engine side at the level of the drive belt pulley. The ignition sequence is often stamped into the flange edge of the gearbox on the rear axle side.
By removing the paint from the flange, the stamped number or numbers will be visible.
On my Fordson N the number was on the engine, but on my E27N no number was visible, until we scratched the paint off the flange. Then it became easy to determine a year of construction.
The swingarm was from "48 and the engine was from" 47.
