Re: Removing PTO shaft advice.
Thanks for the reply. I've tried again, the only two things that I can see might be causing it to be stuck is. 1.0 the PTO is stuck in gear. If so how can I disingauge the PTO leaver to free the PTO up. (When it was disengauged I still could not release the shaft.) Or 2.0 the Bearinghousing is stuck...

Removing PTO shaft advice.
Hi Gents, I'm helping Mark from NZ out with a raised PTO off my spare PM.
I've got the raised box off but the shaft won't budge.
The shaft appears to identical to my normal PM PTO except for the tread for the crown nut that holds the gear on.
Any advice would be greatly appriciate.
Thanks Jason

For sale Raised PTO Power Major or whole tractor
Hi Chaps I have had a couple of the boy’s interested in a raised PTO on my spare power major. It’s always a bit awkward however I really appreciate what you guys would genuinely feel is a fair price for a raised PTO for a brother Fordson owner. MarkNZ and Frode (Power Major) have both expressed inte...

Re: Replacing Front Wheels
Thanks Adrian , I have a feeling that the wheels or at least one of them were replaced some time ago as there are different tread pattern and one wheel has the hub cover with the pressed hex on it and the other has three nuts to take the cover off. If keep the bearings with the wheels will that do o...

Re: Replacing Front Wheels
Thanks Kiwi Kev, II can post some pic if you would like. Do you need any special gear to press the bearings in or do they just fit inside the wheel housing. it make sense what you said on the Raised PTO, as the tractor that's not working has a hydraulic blade on the front. It’s probably not a bad tr...

Replacing Front Wheels
Hi Gents, I’ve got a Fordson Power Major Diesel and one of the front tyres is a bit dodgy so I need to replace it. I have a spare Fordson (not running) with a couple of good front tyres and I’d like to swap the wheels over rather than to replace just the tyres. Both Tractors are the same however the...
