Re: Dexta lift delayed reaction
Hi, Yesterday I openened the lift cover again and fabricated a pullong device for the unloading valve. I had to apply a certain amount of force to push the unloading valve out so that gave me good hope! The O-ring itself appeared to be intact but it felt rather hard, just like the other O-rings I re...

Re: Oil leak crankshaft
Hello, It's been a while, but I found something very interesting to replace the rope seals of the crankshaft, apparently there's a kit available with a regular rubber lip-type seal. Anyone ever tried this? The kit contains a flexible rubber part that needs to be heated in hot water and then pulled o...

Re: Dexta lift delayed reaction
Hi Bob,
Thanks for your thoughts. It sounds very plausible indeed, I didn't inspect the relief valve when I had it open as I couldn't figure out how to remove it...
Do you happen to have any tips on how to get it out? Does it require special tools maybe?
Regards,
Martin

Dexta lift delayed reaction
Hello, I've been having a strange problem with the hydraulic lift on my '60 Dexta for a few months now and I can't seem to figure out what's wrong. So if I cold start my Dexta and pull up the quadrant lever to rise the lift arms, it takes about 30-40 seconds before the lift arms go up. Once they mov...

Re: Colour wheels
I'm afraid there's only a limited number of colours available in the RAL system. All RAL2xxx numbers are different shades of orange... hereby a second try for the pictures: RAL2002 Blood Orange http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/661/806Loc.jpg RAL2009 Traffic Orange http://imagizer.imagesh...

Good afternoon, You will all probably be tired of this discussion, but I need to bring it back once more... sorry! So I'm restoring my brave little '60 Dexta, and I'm starting with the wheels. I dismantled them and I want to get them sandblasted and powdercoated but too bad the guy who will do the j...

Engine running rough, no power
Hello Since a week or two I experienced some trouble with my 1960 dexta. Sometimes all of a sudden it started to run very rough like one cylinder was misfiring. This happened mostly after a few hours of working (mowing with finishing mower). Playing a bit with the throttle lever usually made it go a...

Re: Dexta lift arms slightly dropping
I've been playing around a bit with the lift arms, and it appears that they don't drop when I pull the aux switch. That would mean that the piston seal is ok, right? Could it be that the seals of the aux switch are leaking instead??
Thanks or your thoughts...

About this cam follower pin, I've seen pictures where it was almost cut in half. What exactly are the symptoms when it's worn out?
thanks,

Dexta lift arms slightly dropping
Good day, I have a '60 dexta and I may have a problem with the hydraulics system, but as I am pretty new to this I have no idea how to diagnose this properly... Overall, the lift arms work just fine, they follow the movement of the quadrant lever nice and the response is fast. However with a certain...

Oil leak crankshaft
Hello, Now that I successfully replaced my halfshaft seals and brake linings, I want to deal with another problem I noticed on my recently acquired dexta: It's got a leaky oil seal on the crankshaft (a few drops over night). Too bad it's the clutch side... The fact is that I do not know what kind of...

Brake shoes vs linings
Hello, I have a 1960 Dexta and I need to do a few minor repairs, the brakes need to be looked at and there's an oil leak on on the outside of the left halfshaft. The first question is, what about the brake shoes? Should i buy complete shoes? I see that the linings are available separately as well? I...
