Cylinder head tension

How tight should I pull down the head bolts on a flat top piston e27n as I've always been told " bloody tight" is about right alllllso when grinding in valves in frame do I have to worry about the stem/camshaft contact area ie take a bit off ?

Australian tractors were shipped over here minus wheels to save space or weight one of the other ans the wheels were manufactured locally with a district difference in design between west aus and over east they are only 24 in some 26 I think but a lot wider than English majors

Hurrah for the she'll be right method . Looks like I'm gonna have to call the old 20 parts co may as well get some other bits and pieces while I'm at it

Head gasket

Anyone know where in oz I can get a new head gasket for a e27n ? While on the cylinder head subject does anyone know the tensions for the head bolts as the manual I have for the tractor has no info on tensions

Mine was missing the 3rd leg when I got it the aos6 is a funny tractor bit of a failure actualy

That is a mckormick deering IH aos6 a special international w6 designed and built in Australia and I Amy using it with a ts59 FR plough that is currently missing the third leg I have the body just not the leg

Tyre size

I wish to put new boots on my major I have a 30/28 tyre in really good condition will it fit it is a west australian type rim ( one piece solid cast ) any assistance would be much apreciated

I have had a bit to do with thumpers Vf crawlers mostly :D while I am unsure how that fordson is being started you theory seems about right I've never seen it sone like that . I have accidentally started a John deere by leaning on the flywheel that was a bit of a shock !

Well I did it I re annealed the head gasket in the BBQ had it running for an hour yesterday seemed to go alright and then when I started her this morning there was no water fountain from the exhaust that's a win in my books now for a oil change and a new set of plugs
