Page 16 of the parts manual shows all of the seats available from Fordson and the part numbers. I would suspect one of the ones with the adjustable fore/aft bracket is what you want. I have a late 1950's model Fordson Power Major Tractor. There seems to have been a design change around 1960 as to the seat configuration. Has someone got a part number and/or photo of the applicable tractor seat for Power Major tractors prior to 1960?

I have a Fordson Power Major tractor and need to replace stop cable. Available parts seem to come in 2.2 & 1.5 metres. I only require 1 metre length. Is it as simple as just cutting and reducing the lead to length required?

I had much the same prob. with mine,took starter off, opened it up to find dirty oily stuff inside.Also broken spring, brush on broken spring side worn down to very little. Have cleaned all the terminals and brushes and winds fast enough to turn over but does not turnover.

Does the correct solenoid alter if tractor is converted from lever start to ignition start?

What is correct part number for ignition start?

Can you point me towards a website that sells such solenoid?

Have an old Fordson Power Major that is still lever start. First time lever is pushed down nothing second time it starts to wind but winds for several minutes before actually starting. Starter motor or generator?
