Make a separate thread of it, Frode. It would be very interesting to follow.

Re: VonZu's '78 4600 Four

Hi VonZu, Thank you for the explenation about the 4WD-system. When 4WD is engaged, are the front wheels connected to the breaks too? So 4 wheel breaking, as on the big wheelers? Yup. Blocks all four. Having the 4WD engaged also severely impacts the turn radius  Any detailed pictures of your g...

It's so convenient to just drop a mail, and then wait for something to happen. Not allways the most effective, though :D
Next on my list: Call Mark Osbourne.

Re: VonZu's '78 4600 Four

Hello Pascal! Sorry for not paying proper attention to this thread. Busy with renovating living room and kitchen  I now activated subscription for all my threads here... How's your 4600-4 doing? Did you managed to get all the parts? I have not gotten hold of any parts yet. Still waiting for a...

Thanks Pascal! I just sent of a list to Mark Osborne, where I used your front axle drawing as reference. Thank...

Re: VonZu's '78 4600 Four

Hi VonZu, That's a really great tractor! I am quite a County fan and I really like this 4600-4. More pictures would be great! I'll definitely post more pictures as work progress on this tractor. I try to keep my threads in the way I like to read other threads. Pictures are important! I co...

Re: Fords and Fordsons on VonZu's grandparents farm

Great pics VonZU! Love to see the tractors as they were being used years ago. It looks like you Grandpa really knew how to grow rocks. :scratchhead: Pat Allways very bountiful rock harvests :) Kind of heavy crops though... https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-w-NohvM_aVM/UNRztmrSpmI/AAAAAAAARoM/boz1e...

Well, I kind of have the impression that they were all very fond of the Fordsons and Fords, much because of the MAN tractors

I found some more nostalgics. I suspect that there might be something not blue here, but I cannot tell due to lack of colours :) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-01zRHx5TAyY/UNRwhfn9aKI/AAAAAAAARk0/Y5V0XlMp1Bg/s400/63616_176418769056781_3672405_n.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-nAVwkJEuq4Q/...

Re: VonZu's '62 Super Dexta

I found some old pictures of it, from when it was a proper workhorse in more or less daily use. We never used the front loader on it much, as we had the 754 with a substantially stronger and better front loader. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mA7fekhunpQ/UNOkp4v4MsI/AAAAAAAARb4/fZHyXhkaNw4/s400/...

Re: VonZu's '62 Super Dexta

In the rear I get approx 1000kg all the way up. Any more than that, and I will have to use persuasive means to get it up :) I can keep 1300kg up, if I "persuade" it up first. In the front it's above 1000kg, but not by much. Max 1200kg I assume. :) That's a big lift, hydraulics must be in good condi...

Re: VonZu's '62 Super Dexta

I think I know which one bolt you refer to. It's the one all the way to the rear.

Yes, I hope some experts can clarify this for me. I don't want to put it back together with more errors than it had :)

Re: Fords and Fordsons on VonZu's grandparents farm

I'm not sure what that other tractor on the first photo is. I'll have to ask my dad. To my knowledge they never used county on their farm. I don't think they were that popular in farming during the early days. They were more popular in forrestry and construction. Maybe it had something to do with No...

The front loader is a Malm Orstad Industry Loader. The one and only  The tractor was bought from Selmer Furuholmen by my dad in the early eighties. We used it for farming and forestry activities. During winter we also had some snow plowing responsibilities. And there are very few things that a...

Fords and Fordsons on VonZu's grandparents farm

My grandparents ran what was known as a "machine station" in it's day. They had a considerable amount of blue tractors operating in their active days. Here are some pictures from the glorious past :) https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-EHZGpAjyg8g/UNOsxgSz9DI/AAAAAAAARiM/t06u5CKM6Gw/s400/166162_17641...

This tractor is also a family heirloom. It has lived and been loved hard for many years. Currently it is partially dismanteled, awaiting further restoration work. I'm from Jæren. 50km south of Stavanger.

The 754 is in a sorry state at the moment. It's been used hard for a lifetime, but is not beyond repair.
I'll make a project thread on it as soon as we start working on it again.

Re: VonZu's '62 Super Dexta

What front loader have you? It's made by a local Norwegian company called "Malm Orstad". They made a lot of front loaders for Fordsons and Fords. Mainly two versions, the "agricultural" and the "industrial". This one is an agricultural. What will she lift front and rear? I don't know exactly. In th...
