Hi Jasonk On the Fordson N the Engine & the Gearbox share the same oil so their is only one dipstick. It is usual to use a 'straight 30' oil or similar in these old engines rather than a multigrade. Hi Stark 1 The Engine Number should be stanped into the 'head' on the right hand side above the right hand exhaust port. This is covered by the white cloth in your picture. Hi John The Air Inlet on your tractor is an 'aftermarket' addition & not of Fordson Origin. I think it ia called a 'Fishleigh Pre-Heater', I have one exactly the same as yours but fitted to a Fordson N (the model built before the E27N).
