hello there Frothy water sounds pretty much like fenland beer, but have you had the thermostat out and tried working it without for a couple of days, it could be the problem, its worked for me before now, you can always boil it in a pan of water to see if it opens up ( but best wait while the missis...

Hello Hazzard i saw an E27N on something or other with a 5LW in & one with a 4LW as well it was just an idea i was toying with but have let the 6LXCT go its probably zooming round singapore harbour now in a junk, although the gardners i used to run in 8 leggers did'nt do much zooming

Gardner powered E27n

Hello There I recentiy saw a picture of an E 27n with a 5LW gardner shoehorned into it. I have an E27n with a high top gear & have access to a gardner 6LXCT engine from an ERF . I was wondering if anyone could give me some guidelines on how to pull this conversion off Thank you

Hello There I have a 1951 e27n with an aluminium steering wheel & a 1953 e1a major with the same But a friend has a 1947 e27n with the earlier model n steering wheel I think you probably just got what there was. P S been bitten by the vicar lately rick

Insanity doesn't start & end with brexital bureaucracy
have spent 9 hours in a classroom today learning how to tip tarmac on customers sites,
something I have spent the last 35 years doing {as well as messing with tractors}

finally got round to playing with the major . put NGK plugs in and run her with a bit of choke
and she runs like a fifty guinea watch

Did you put the colletts that hold the pressure pipe in position in the lower casting back properly before dropping the top back on
i t sounds silly but I did it and wondered why there was no pressure just a thought

depth control thingy

hello there I have a 56 major with the depth control thingy that works from a cam fastened to the end of the lift arm cross shaft. I pulled it all to bits to free it off & paint it,then discovered I had lost the cam Does anyone please know of the wherabouts of a cam thank you

I don't really think I should say this but I had a 460 nuff & it knocked the spots off my favourite super major for pto horsepower & drawbar power
my missis wanted some new windows,and it was my least favourite tractor so she had to go (we don't talk about it)

Hello brian Sorry to mislead you, I meant plug lead caps, they tell me distributor caps are a bit scarce, I run all my tvo tractors on 1/4 petrol 3/4 heating oil & a pint of engine oil.
