replacing drag links
Hello after some help/info again I need to replace my drag link ends due to being worn badly. should I change the whole drag link or just the ends? when looking for the ends it just shows the ball and nut I guess it comes with more bits? http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/l564/chrisorton2004/WP_201...

Hang on, are you saying that when cold the starter motor turns but not enough to start the engine ? if so did hot wiring direct to battery help any ? Have you a second battery in a car or truck to jump lead to the tractor battery, if so does this help ? if it does you may not have the right battery...

I have tried direct power, additional battery and extra earth lead. I did notice wear marks and bronze bearings have some wear. Can you buy bearings for each end? Would replacing them be a good start? The only additional thing I can note is that it wont start except tow start now, but later on after...

since leaving my major over the winter the starter motor has given up. I agree with witty73, I bought a screw splitter put on my major just let it tick over and away you go. split everything I put in front of it. which ever way you go it's better than a axe!!

Thanks for the replys. Rent a Kubota! :wink: I was going to rent but would prefer to buy my own and have it there to use when I want and it might be handy for other little jobs. JCB! The motor trade has changed we dont keep nothing like this I tryed euro car parts, agriline no luck. The lucas 987 bulb has a screw fitting mine has a bayonet with parallel locating pips.

My Dowty Coupling Leaks and I am going to order a new one from Agriline but I am unsure which is the correct size. Please could someone confirm for me. Thank You. It was all ok when I tryed it after playing with the dynamo it all started when i cleaned the regulator. I think its something i touched in there.

Hello whilst running my power major there is no charge I read some posts and cleaned the dynamo inside and checked to see if it would spin like a motor. Which it does well. Then I cleaned the regulator inside. The points were green and dirty. But now when I connect the battery it sparks like the ter...

Hello when running my fordson power major I have a small but constant oil leak from the spool valve. It comes out of a small hole as seen in picture should there be anything in there or is there a seal need replacing. Thanks for the help. :beer: I put the old washers back on mine so hopefully all will be good. Ready to start now only problem is the throttle link from the block to the flap in the inlet manifold is missing? I cant find it as the previous owner must have took it off when he started pulling it apart....

Injector washers
Finishing putting my Fordson together, got a new fuel rail (leak off rail) and confused as to which washers are required. I have some left in the kit and I'm not sure whether they are correct? On the diagram in the catalogue it shows none? If anyone has a diagram or picture it would be handy. Thanks.

The reason why its bent is because someone started it on easy start and it reved out of control until valves hit pistons. destroyed the head smashed one piston. :cry: So bought a engine rebuild kit and a second hand head.
