You should get "They Breed Them Though!" from Second Sight Productions in UK! :-) http://www.secondsightproductions.co.uk/tractors-machinery/ford-fordson/they-breed-them-tough.html Also the video from Blues Force Conversions Day is well worth it! http://www.primetimemedia.co.uk/blue-force-ford-and-f...

Re: PTO question

there is an extension on the pto-shaft to make it longer. inside/outside spline. You use an orginial NP shaft. I guess you could use the extension from an older tractor to make it work. I have a shaft for you, but you will need to replace the bearing and seal.

Re: New Project, The Holy Grail, County Super 6

Hello! I´m new here as well. Great Super 6 Steven. I would not change the tractor at all and let the blade where it belongs. I am looking for a front weight for my Super 4 and Super 6 as well. Who is this Rob Morgan? Is it possible to get his contact information or from anybody else who might be ca...

Re: New Performance SM - Lift arms gone up and stays there

Thank you Brian!

I forgot to say, it lifts whatever the quadrant position is. The control valve was stuck - I got it working.

I also fitted a double aux-valve from a Force 4000. Works good too - I have oil on all outputs, and the lift is working. :-)

Re: starting at 45 degrees of frost

I have a 230V heater-element in the bottom radiator hose. 2 hours plugged in and it starts up as in the middle of the summer.

New Performance SM - Lift arms gone up and stays there

Hi there,

Working on the Super-4. Hydraulic lift goes up and stays there, even with quadrant lever in bottom position. Aux-valve is not pulled out. I can hear a clicking sound when turning the engine over with starter (pto engaged). Lift has been sitting for ~5 years. Stuck control valve?

Great to see it running Frode, and she sound great!! Pat Took it over to a neighbur for a beer last night. Smiling all the way :-) Rigged the rams for the blade up to the hydraulics on the County 654 to check them for leaks, and they are ok. They are a little pitted, but not enough to worry ...

Great job! The winch-mounting is different to what we use in Norway. I have a complete duncan cab for sale, with glass, doors and everything.

Re: running a major in cold weather

we always dump a little fuel treatment in ours to keep them from jelling up, the biggest problem is the water. early winter brings on the "just below & just above freezing" that makes everything frost up and sweat, this is guaranteed to leave a substantial amount of water in the fuel, especially if...

No problems. I would fit an electric coolant heater (Norwegian made "Defa" is very good).

Damn... I want one so badly but seem to come by anything but a -6 :(

Luckily for us, Robb Morgan have cast new front weights for both Super-4 and Super-6 :-) :-) He helped me source a replacement steering clutch drum for my crawler and is very easy to deal with :) :)

Re: Fitting PTO to non-PTO gearbox/tractor

Working under a crawler is a major pain the ass... how did you do it back in the days, Brian?? For example when changing oils? :-)

Have to remove the main spring for the tracks to gain access to the pto-gearbox location. This have to wait until spring when I'm painting it :-)

Thanks, Pat!

I'll keep it as a single clutch. Will change the seals in the pto-box before fitting it.

Fitting PTO to non-PTO gearbox/tractor

My County Crawler Mark IV (1957) does not have a PTO or 3-point hydraulics. It is set up as a dozer, and has a blade in front with its own front-mounted pump and reservoir under the seat (original Bray setup). I recently aquired a parts tractor and want to transfer the PTO and pto-shaft to the crawl...

Re: County Crawler

Here is the failed steering clutch drum. I thought my MarkIV crawler had the multidisc, but I was wrong. This cracked drum is the reason the bulldozer was parked 20 years ago. Guess the previous owner couldnt source a spare one. Robb Morgan hooked me up with a replacement. Bad Drum - Good Drum http:...
