Most wrecking yards are begining to realise they are worth more than $400 that any of them used to sell for by the amount of guys wanting t...

Well done Brian , My Mum is the same and stopped taking certain meds as they made her so tired she was half dead most of the time. she asked the Doc and he said go steady and see what happens. His last comment was it was not his job to kill her pumping her full of stuff that was making her worse. Ma...

Thanks Henk Now i know what you have it makes it a lot easyer to understand :) . I guess you have to make an adapter plate for the 4 bolts down to the 2 bolts or hope you can drill 2 holes without drilling into the hydraulic oil areas in the top cover. Then hope your legs are long enough to reach th...

I think the extra gearbox section may be a "Howard Reduction Box" - fitted originally on majors for rotavating, powered rotavator at right angles to direction of travel. Made by Howard Rotary Hoes in the UK in the 50's and 60's Gave "creep speed" - ideal for hedgecutters and any implement when norm...

Hi Nick Ive never seen new replacements unless somebody has new old stock laying around. I think its only good used if you can find them. I was wondering if its the washers pushing the arm up against the end of the steering box that makes it tight. if it is that could you grind some off the back of ...

Hi Henk I just looked in my power major parts book it shows seats as delux with and without h.p.l it looks as if there is an adapter plate that fit on the 4 bolt mount to convert over to the 2 bolt centre holes and maybe it altres the seat height as with no hydraulic top the seat would sit lower. Is...

all my Majors with hyds on have 4 bolts for the seat apart from the supers that have 2 in the centre and a completley different top. all the majors with the flat top had 2 bolts in the centre as I belive the seat and spring was very close on these tractors and the E27n. The hyd top style seat tipped...

Ok Thats good news on the oil leaks. I guess you will have to take her apart and see exactly what is worn and how much. You can change the bushes in the pedals. If they are the right ones agriline have them. The shaft however may have extensive wear , where the bushings sit as they are not greased o...

The Brake pedal that is free on the shaft has a bushing in it as does the clutch pedal that is on the other end of the shaft so they will be worn and probably the shaft is too The pedal that is tight is fixed to the shaft to transmit the left pedal of the tractor over to the left side brake mechanis...

Hi Originaly I believe it had two 6v batterys connected in series to give 12v that filled the tray then there was a frame that fitted over the top with long bolts to clamp it to the battery tray. I guess you have a modern 12v single Battery and will need to make up something of a similar idea to fit...

Hi Guys I Am not sure how you are testing the dynamo but you can do it by joining the two terminals together on the back and put 12volt battery power there with ground to the casing if the dynamo runs like a motor it is probably fine. You do have to remove the fan belt from the engine though. If the...

Where is the seal ? Hi The seal is right behind the handbrake lever if you dont know its there its not obviouse . There may be a flat washer in front of it. Hi the Tractor you are working on is a super major . The ordinary major Nick is working on had the regalator in a tin box with the gauges/ switches down by the high low lever.
