Re: Fordson Dexta or Ford Dexta PUH Query

Thanks for the help chaps. I'm just wondering why people point out that a hitch advertised for a Fordson Dexta is for a Ford 2/3000 if there's no difference :scratchhead:

Fordson Dexta or Ford Dexta PUH Query

Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between a pick up hitch for a Fordson Dexta or Super Dexta and one that fits a Ford Dexta/2/3000?

Front Loader Radiator Guard

Can anyone post some pictures or give a description of how to attach the guard to the tractor. I've a feeling the bracket is missing that lets you fit the guard to the tractor.Any help will be much appreciated.

Re: Aveling Barford Dumper.

Unfortunately Emiel, Mr Condie is of no help but the project is coming along nicely. The owner has spent an absolute fortune on it to date, ( Think lottery win) and it looks like it may be the only one in existence. I'll ask if I can take a photo or two to put up.

Aveling Barford Dumper.

The bloke working on my Super Dexta has started the restoration of a Fordson N or F based dumper built by this company. Apparently they are very rare compared to the more common Muir Hill machine. Do any of you lot have any info on this machine so by he can re-build it to original spec. He only has ...

Re: Front Weight Bolts

Thanks Brian I'd still need the bolts as I wouldn't trust just the two holding anything on plus, I've got a front loader for it and a weight box might get in the way. If I live long enough to get the New Performance drivable I would put a box on that.

From Weight Bolts

I'm having an adaptor plate made to fit Ford 1000 series slab weights to my Super Major as I refuse to pay the stupid money Fordson weights fetch. My question is, what size and thread are the bolts that go into the tractor. I have two, which were holding the number plate on but I need two more for th...

Re: Bone dry dipstick

The tractor was/is standing in a paddock so oil leaks will soak in.I've got quick fit couplings on both the trailer tipping pipe and the return into the back end that work the log splitter and forklift. The trailer pipe coupling has been a sod to get in for a couple of months now and has started to l...

Bone dry dipstick

Two weeks ago I checked the hydraulic dipstick as usual, needed a drop, all's well. Not used it again 'till yesterday and the dipstick's bone dry. Undid the filler near the PTO lever and it's trickling out ( with the engine running). How can this happen? As usual, any help gratefully received.

I used the saw bench two days running with no problems, put the drum mower on next day and the PTO wouldn't turn. Mower turns, PTO shaft turns by hand and with the engine running but as soon as the mower's back on there's nothing doing.A new clutch is £600 but a plate is around about £40. Am I just l...

Is there a topic on here about changing to an alternator? The Dynamo on my spare SM is only fifteen amps, the one on the New Performance won't fit [ too big ]and the one I took off to be fixed because it stopped charging is still at the menders after four weeks, they're trying to get recon innards fo...
