Hi frank, Nice original looking beastie, for what its worth my 1950 P6 has a yellow (definetly yellow, not faded orange) undercoat under the red, everyone I've spoken to in the old machinery club I'm a member of (TADOMS) agree's blue with red, apparently a few did make it out with orange wheels so I...

Hi Barry, Thanks for the reply, The last filter I obtained was from Cummins and it was the closest they could match for the direction of the oil flow. it was a Fleetgaurd LF598. I cut the botton two inch's or so off and it fitted nicely in the cage, the original felt end seals were used and it worke...

P6 oil filter

Hi guy's, Time to give Milton (E27N P6)an oil change, bit of a problem as oil appears to be heavilly contaminated very grey in colour not shore but it may be part of the old oil filter which I had to cut to fit the brass cage of and I've noticed metal filings on the sump oil cage, bugger! don'...

It's a shame you don't have time for a visit, I would enjoy catching up again. Re...

Hi Barry,
:P Thanks very much for the info. I think the most problems with a new project is acquiring info, the E27N wasn't a problem so much for written info but I'm finding the modle N a bit more challanging.

Hi Brian, Yes, quite a project but will look a treat when finished, best part is that apart from a few small items virtually everythings there, thats 90% of the battle as far as I'm concerned. Hi frank, don't think there will be much reproduction going on Milton is sulking and has turned blue, I'm s...

My latest acquisition - Modle N

:D hi Guy's, Just a short bragging note, I've just collected my new baby, a 1930 "I think, cork Modle N. I picked it up from a farm out in the scrub today, needs a bit of work as you can see, haven't not run for at least 10 years that the previous owner is aware of. He told me he didn't even know it...

Hi dave,
Thanks for clearing that up, N's it is. The F had (I beleave) a buzz coil located I think on the LHS and I wasn't aware of the radiator difference. I hope to restore one, one day once I finish my E27N.

Hi RW, Thanks, The starter is the real McCoy, its a cav, I've had two P6's one with an after market perkins to replace the Petrol/Kero and the other factory fitted, 1949 and 1950 models respectively, both with Cav starters, I know the starter motors well as I had a hell of a time rebuilding one. :wi...

What I'm into

8) Last of the rally photo's, these are the machines which really interest me, particularly E27N's When I walked through the gate I was greated with a nice original F model, at least I think its an F, always have trouble with F and N models, this first one obviously hasn't run for a long time and wa...

Hi Barry,
You know I didn't see a single one at the rally but it doesn't surprise me that Fordson would produce said adaptation. Come to think of it for such a great little tractor I only very occasionally see one.

 Saw this on utube thought it might end the petrol/diesal debate, you really can have the best of both worlds. this IH dozer starts and runs on petrol and then can be switched to diesal for hard working, I think its a brilliant concept particularly for all you Northern Hemisphere types who ex...
