Re: Gear lever snap ring
Hello Frank, I have just had my unit apart to paint and reassembled with the correct ring. This is just a split ring of approx. 5/32" dia. spring steel. This is quite strong and a bugger to fit with one pair of hands. I reckon if I had to replace it I would find a suitable sized coil spring, cut off...

E27n fanbelt tensioner
I am aware of the split pulley with shims to set belt tension. However I find great difficulty doing this job, when the sheet metal shroud is in place around the fan. I have seen a tractor with such a tensioner (which bolts into that spare hole in the front cover above the governor). Has anybody els...

Thanks Emiel

E27n Front Transmission
Seeing that I have the tractor split to work on the motor, it seems sensible to replace the oil seal behind the transmission plate. Transmission oil is seeping into the bell housing, although it does not appear to be coming past the oil seal but from through the plate gasket. Either way there is a l...

Re: Sump Gasket
Thanks Emiel, I thought it needed one . The parts list shows the two long side gaskets but not the vertical one.
But you are right and I will do as you suggest.

Sump Gasket
I'm ready to replace the sump on my E27n after a bearing adjustment and ring replacement.
Is there meant to be a gasket between the rear vertical face of the sump and the bell housing, or just the two long sides?

Re: What is the method to remove the flat belt pully on E27n
Hi
If you only want to remove the pulley itself and not the whole unit, remove the centre spindle nut, then look for two threaded holes in the hub.
These are 1/2" whitworth thread. Screw a bolt into each of these and keep screwing to release the taper drive.

Re: E27N headlight lens
Thanks Paulus I was in touch with that seller (in Ireland?) but we could not agree on a price. He relisted them on ebay for 125 pounds but I think that is still too expensive. Maybe I will eventually have to pay that sort of price, but........ Going to a swap meet tomorrow, so here's hoping. Thanks ...

:scratchhead: Am I missing something? Have just finished changing PTO box to final drive seals, and the shaft output seal. I had a real fiddle replacing the shaft. My handbook specifically says that the shaft length is such that it will enter the splines at the front end before the rear bearing ente...

Re: E27N Battery Size
I recently replaced my battery with one of a greater capacity than 57ah. Cant remember exact size.
However new battery is 12" x 7" x 8" high, and fits on the standard battery shelf in front of the steering column.
