Hi Paul. Well we could do with a bit more rain before things start to warm up down here, otherwise all is well. I guess there's a huge range of speedi sleeves, but the ones I know are only a few thousands of an inch thick, so there's no need to change the size of the oil seal. I've even heard of spe...

Fuel flow from injectors back to the tank

Hi everybody. I disconnected the fuel return line that runs from the injectors back to the tank, to check to see how much fuel was in there. It was empty. So I started her up with the return line disconnected, and run it for about 10 minutes, at fast idle, and sometimes revving high for 30 seconds o...

Jørgen

The voltage regulator should be located behind your dash.

Hi Les. I got it from a local Ford- New Holland dealer (Aus$26.00). They source all their parts from Bare-Co. Here's their web page for the heater plug (part number B132) http://www.bareco.com.au/files/ford2001/frd50.htm Funny thing is, I saw that picture of the heater plug (part no. B132 = C5NE9A43...

I haven't tried it yet Terry. I started her up for 5 minutes, to get fuel into the new line. Then I thought, well no use testing it out while she's warmed up, time for dinner. Will test it out in the morning, when its cold.

Hi Paul. not that I've used the speedy sleeve, but I believe that no machining is required. Just slip it on, and away you go.

fuel supply to heater plug picture

Went ahead and rigged up a fuel line to the new heater plug (see picture). I followed the directions set out by Brian in previous posts on this topic. The heater plug has a built-in valve that opens when it gets hot. Does it look like I set it up correctly? http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3210/282473...

I thought of a chainsaw primer bulb or something similar also. But then I think you'll need to modify the fuel tap, then maybe put another tap in line, to stop fuel being drawn in to the manifold once the tractor starts. The replacement heater plug I bought has a built-in automatic valve, that opens...

Thanks Terry. The primer bulb is long gone. Yes that's right, I'm trying to get fuel to the new heater plug for cold starts, by connecting to the fuel line that runs back to the fuel tank from the injectors. Brian described this modification numerous times on the old forum. I was hoping to see a pic...

Oh well, I was hoping someone might go and take a picture of their setup, and post it for me. Thanks anyway.

Heater plug with fuel line setup

Hi everyone. Back after a very long spell. Have been reading the forum from time to time, just never got around to reregistering (after my computer died, and took my forum registration details to the grave). Anyway, I've got a new heater plug for the dexta, and am going to put a T piece in the injec...
