In Norway it was a company who fabrick,d such "front-bascet,s" so the farmer could drag it down for to put some woodenboxes on it, and then fill up with heavy stuff. Yes, as you see on the picture it is a screew just over the filter who can unscreew from outsides. Take out this screew, and bend down the pipe. Now you can lift all filter up for check and clean the litle valve sitting underneeth too. I would recomend a new filter from agr.l, (mybee the old filter ...

Hi conar22, i think most likely it is your dynamo... can be some who had messed with the polarize,d of it sometimes. check it on your workshopbench, open it up, clean it carefully, and look good at the brushes and communtator. when you have rewired the tractors have you wired them as positive or negative earth? would it matter to the loom how it is wired? Hi again Dell. Take a look at your regulator...if it is five terminal,s on it...this wiring can be a god guide for you, becouse it also tell about the colors... Hi If you have five terminal,s on your regulator...this wiring diagrahm you will find on "parts four" will suit for your Dexta.

you should try to take off one end of the small wire between starter switch and solenoid and check if it is live when ign. on. If it is the switch i faulty. Yes, you can try measure this vay ...(not to use the lever... only the ing. switch on) if now it is current to the solenoid ?? then the switch...

Nice to see, it seems that it is better climate over there than in Europe...(not so cold in winter,s neither so much snow and ice...) so mybee mostly of the oldies,s are in better cond. there as used tractor,s :?: :?:

Hi we59dexta, gretings for you decision to throw it away... Mybee it can be rebuilt but it is in need for total measure,d. (The field wirings has not to be shortcut,d at any time) and the ancor and communtator need to be OHM,d... so just buy a new one and try it in a bench at first.

All startes has numbers knocked in their body, but has it often covered by paint or is on backside of the starter. It is the identification for parts too. but i still are vaiting to here how the condition ,s are on this starter. :?:

Your starter mybee could had some short cut,s or some default,s already befor..mybee burned wirings?? I can not see any other reason, mybee someone has made this prob,s on it ?? Try to find an old starter and put it on a testbench in the workshop... or mybee dismantle your starter and seek for failu...
