Dextas are different and it is quite possible to shift up and down the box (if you can remember where the gears are) using the double declutch method. If you are really really good you can even do it without using the clutch at all :D but here you have a lighter gearbox and a more free running trac...

ABBA is the band that got me hooked on music. I don't like most of their earlier work - that was rather simplistic (songs like Ring Ring and Mama Mia come to mind). They got better with each album and their last 3 records are nothing short of stunning (Voulez Vous, Super Trouper and The Visitors). A...

There's two kinds of music: good and bad. Other than that, I don't believe in genres. Genres are just labels, they mean nothing to me. To me, any piece of music made while someone's heart and soul are into it is good music. Music where people are merely going through the motions is ususally bad. Her...

We now have 2 guys in Europe, 1 in California and 1 halfway between Australia and New Zealand, and together they cover a lot of timezones. Plus, I've put the board back to manual approval. Combined, the odds of this happening ever again are minimal.

Pascal's article about installing a raised PTO added!

Chaps,

Some time ago Pascal sent me an article with photos about installing a raised PTO on his Major. I've added it to the Wiki, you can find it here.

Pascal, can you check if I made any errors?

There are very good pictures in this article too! Enjoy it!

Regards,
Oscar

The way you put the capos on the headstocks of those Takamines and the way you put your pick between the strings is exactly the way I always do it!! That Gretsch is just awesome  . An absolute dream guitar, really. It's got just one pickup, but it is a wonderful pickup and they mounted it in e...

No hurry, Mark, no hurry at all. I'll be offline until noon tomorrow, European time. Man, a '59 Gretsch.... (Yes folks, '59 was not only a great year for blue tractors but it is also the holy grail year for guitars - some '59 guitars fetch enough $ to buy a very nice house and/or a bunch of '59 Ford...

:needpics: Show me pics of your '59 Gretsch! I'd kill for a guitar like that (well, not really but you get the idea!! ;) ) That Gretsch is worth a small fortune. Your Takamines should work really well with that SWR - they're good guitars and good amps. I have the following gear: -A 1996 Gibson Les P...

Man, man, man. The things some folks do. Have you seen that exhaust? That's wide enough for me to crawl through!

The gearbox and rear axle of a Dexta weren't built to withstand that much power. It's useless.
