Hi does anyone have a early countershaft gear for a 1958 dexta, as you look at the gearbox from the front with the bellhousing off it is the large double gear on the bottom shaft. 55 teeth on the large gear and 28 on the small gear. Frank your spot on the discs are the same as a E27N.

Thanks Both, and yes it does have 4 slots in the locking washer is still attached to the nut and the keyway in the shaft has failed causing the nut to undo. We were thinking of putting a castle head nut on and drilling the shaft to take a split pin?

Hi I have problems with 2/5th gear every time i engage the gear and go to drive it feels like there is teeth missing the tractor will drive but it jumps in 2nd and 5th. Cherrs forthat I will try a MF dealer, I don't mind if it has a bit of red blood in it as long as no one can see.

Looks a good job but my oil pump is u/s and will have to replace with the new type. However the pipes must be BSP if you got them from the loacl hardwear shop?

Hi in the middle of rebuilding my engine and have gone to fit a new oil pump to find the in and out ports are angled not like the new pump that comes out of the back. I have been told you can't get the early pumps any more and mine is u/s. Does anyone know where I can get later sucton and feed pipes...

Hi do you still have the rachet and if so would you be interested in selling it? I am looking for a rachet and paw for the old style handbrake that you flip the clip over with your thumb. It is off a 1958 Fordson Dexta.
