I am about to fill the hydrolic system with oil I dropped the sump plug of and some water and a bit of sludge came out there looks like a filter in the sump is there. Away of giving the hydrolic tank a quick rinse before filling with oil 1960 fordson major regards Darryl

I bought this tractor on the grounds that it was 90 percent restored the fellow I bought it from told me that the engine had been restored and that nothing needed doing to the engine . I have been stripping and cleaning the engine of the gunk for nearly 3 weeks . rocker tube,cylinder head,oil ports in inspection cover, sump pan off and cleaned oil saturated, oil pipe feed to pump. Every thing put back but not the cylinder head started turning over the engine but no oil flow any on...

I am about to put the sump pan back on is better to fit the cork gasket to the front of the pan then lift in to position or fit the cork gasket around the front bearing then lift into position regards Darryl

There is no oil reaching the rockers I have removed the cylinder head to find a rubber geometry in the oil port that supplies oil to the rockets has any one come across this regards darryl

There is no oil getting to the rockers and con rods and there is gunk every where can the engine be flushed with out removing the sump if so what is best I use to remove the gunk diesel ? I have heard that diesel can be poured into the engine oil this May degrease everything any suggestions thanks D...

The rack is moving freely and all plungers are now moving freely after coating the with wd 40 I think the problem is with the injectors

Finally bled the fuel pump and got fuel spitting out of the top of the feed pipes but no white smoke and will not start any one got any ideas I tried a sniff of easy start she fired up but died more or less straight away thanks darryl

There are 4 inside the injector pump that push the fuel up to head because the tractor as been stood for a while one is stuck in the hanging position thanks darryl
