Hi, am trying to do the settings for the qualitrol an position using the measurements and a vernier , can anyone tell me is the measurement between the control valve boss and the cylinder casting, or the boss and the plate that hold the bush in the casting. Thanks Brian, In fact that's what I did, I had seen two Dexta's with spacers fitted on the brake shaft at the trumpet end but they didn't look right somehow.

Tyre size question,
Hi, going to have to fit some new rear tyres to my 61 Dexta, Think BKT , seems to be cheapest from local tyre dealer. But am just wondering if anyone has a view on which size I should fit, 11.4x28 0r 12.4 x 28, even 10x28 if I could get them. Jim.

Anyone have a comment on this please. The Dexta manual I have says "Crankshaft end float 0.00225 to 0.01025," Is that like 2thou to 10 thou, ?? Thanks, I have been in touch with an engineer at Hull and they quoted £180 including vat and a turn round of 2 days, I think rather that try a DIY I will let them do it.
