the holes (thread) on the LH side were used to fix a holder on tractors fitted with twin batteries. Holder with parts code E85-NA-9.

use a 12 Volts battery and let the starter try to turn over the engine for about 10 seconds. Then check the heads of the rivets, which goes through the end-plate, for heat. If one or more rivets are hot .... BINGO.

Do you know which rivets I mean? If not, maybe a picture will help.

My Dexta is still fitted with her original spacer. I installed the front axle and installed the radius rods and then checked the gap. I fitted a few washers to have a bit free-play for the axle. There's no link from the inner components to "earth", so it doesn't matter which way you connect the wires to the switch.

It is correct, that the tractor is badged as Ford 2000 Diesel. Take a look at the rear wheels, she is fitted with the optional power-adjusted-rims. if the springs are still elastic, I would use them. The springs on my Dexta were also very rusty, they were sand blasted and I gave them to a galvanic shop.
