Re: Old levelling box advice needed

Thanks for all your replies guys. The levelling box came apart a little too easily for my liking. On inspection, the thread is very worn and after screwing into the bottom part (B on the picture) for an inch or so it just drops in :( its also bent slightly at the base of the gearbox  The fixed ...

I have just acquired a pair of rusted drop arms and before I start heating and whacking I need to know how the levelling box goes together... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14708387/levellingbox.jpg I have borrowed this image from ebay, its not my own. I do not have a pin in the slot as shown but instead t...

Re: New Major seat rubbers

Thats the same seat as I have, its the power Major one isn't it? when I got mine it had a huge rubber block bolted on through the two holes but it made the seat pan tip forward uncomfortably. I'd love bumpers but now my seat is so far to the rear its riding on the hydraulics :( Really needs a new fr...

Home Made Grills

Offended at the thought of spending around £55 + postage on a pair of grills for the Power Major.... One cardboard template, one old screen from some washing plant, a slitting disc on the grinder, some Fordson Orange and a couple of hours later.... http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14708387/grill2.jpg http://...

Looking for one of these to give me more time to fix the seal on the pulley.

Anyone have one lying around who would be willing to post to Ireland?

Thanks

Re: Power Major Air Cleaner

Thanks for that Tim, I don't suppose a close up photo of the surviving rim would help would it?

Also, is there any noticeable difference between the AC and Burgess units that you know of?

Re: Power Major Air Cleaner

I found the element or rather the ring which used to contain the element. It was jammed into the bowl and I mistook it for part of the body.

Is there a specific type I need to order or is there just the one kind?

This may sound like a silly question, but can the alternator circuit and the starter circuit both run through the same contacts on the ignition switch?

Re: Power Major Air Cleaner

Thanks for that Timee, I'll have another look later today. Can I just ask though, with the bowl off the bottom of the unit, where should the pipe coming down the top section end in relation to the bottom edge of the top section? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14708387/filter.jpg you'd never guess I was a d...

Power Major Air Cleaner

So there I was with a week and a bit to go before Lily the Power Major is trailered away to get the clutch sorted and I decided to do some little jobs around the old girl and decided to have a look in the air cleaner..... Dropped the bowl off the bottom and it was as dry as a bone. just a few bits o...
