Morning!
Just a quick update for you. Have finally fitted all back together. But it was a hard job to get the sump back in again - what a heavy piece....
And..... My baby is running again. Very smooth...
Thanks for your help.

Re: Not turning crankshaft
Morning! Actually I don't have an correct idea why it was only at the first cylinder. I think that there is also a little play between the con rod and the piston. And if the play at the top and the to-one-side-fitted-con-rod made some funny angle so there was to much power needed to move it. And bec...

Re: Not turning crankshaft
Guys, got it :) :) :) Problem was: con rod have some play left and right to the crankshaft. During tightening they have been close to one side and not in the middle. Just this. Have loosen the screws, moved them correct to the middle and tighten them again. And now the crankshaft is moving... Thanks...

Re: Not turning crankshaft
Hello Together! - the tube from oilpump to the "sump" is in place and nothing is touching there - the crank is in place as it was. didn't take it out and didn't touch the main bearings - the probelm why I have opened it was a metal noise and this was coming due to the broken con rod bearing at the t...

Re: Not turning crankshaft
Hi Brian! Thanks for your first help. Here some further information: - I didn't change the pistons - didn't change the con rods - didn't make any changes to the valves, to rockers and anything related - while turning the crankshaft all valves are moving What I'm wondering about: once the crankshaft ...

Not turning crankshaft
Hi Guys! Need again some help from you. Have changed my con rod bearings, everything looked fine. Till I tried to turn the crankshaft. I can turn it normally till the first piston comes close to the top. But it is not going over the "top dead end". Have opened the top valve case and realised that th...

Re: Broken Con Rod Bearing / Moving Crankshaft
Hi! Took today a look At the place where the thrust washers are sitting (inner side to the sump). I placed them back in but they are not sitting very tight and falling out again. Once fitting them back, how are they hold in place? How do they stay where they need to stay? Or will them stay there onc...

Re: Number on con rod bearings
Hi! Realy? I have always learned that it's only allowed to reground all ones or no one. But that could be possible, 'cause I don't think that the one at cyl 1 and cyl 2 are in very good condition and number 3 is to "small"... Will try it with a plus 0.3 bearings and see how it goes... Thanks you all...

Re: Number on con rod bearings
First, thanks to your answer.
Have checked today my diamater of the crankhaft and, sh****;
1) 57.1mm
2) 57.1mm
3) 56.6mm
So my third cylinder is somehow damaged

Re: Broken Con Rod Bearing / Moving Crankshaft
Morning, think you're right :( Took a look at my parts lists and they're really all next to the third cylinder. Don't know why I found it around the first one... S***, that sounds like a lot more work :( What I'm wondering is - if its all screwed together there, why did it fall out. And also, when d...

Re: Broken Con Rod / Moving Crankshaft
Hi again! Have been again under my vehicle to check, where the hell the thrust washer came from. Unfortuneately nothing to see or I'm just to stupid to look at the right place. As the crankshaft and everything else is still in place it's quite hard to see something. This guy has been found in the oi...

Number on con rod bearings
Hi Guys!
Took my con rod bearings out and found on them the numbers 4324 and 31131201. How do I know if this are the standard ones or already one of the oversized ones?
Thx

Re: Broken Con Rod / Moving Crankshaft
Hi! First, I think I have a wrong title. Not the con rod is broken, just the bearing. The bearing you see at the photo is the one out of the piton (the small one). Engine was running till the end quite good, just a bit noisy... I don't care so much about the bearing at the con rod - this will be eas...

Broken Con Rod Bearing / Moving Crankshaft
Morning! First, happy easter to you all :) Took a look at my engine. First problem: con rod bearing broken at the 3rd cylinder. No big deal to change it. But! How do I find out, if it's the original size or already one of the three available oversized once? http://s14.directupload.net/file/d/2854/rd...

Re: How to remove the oilsump
Got it guys
Thanks for your help.
Yes, all screws have been away. It was just sticky after some years of usage. Used a piece of wood and a hammer from top and it started to come down.
Will keep you up to date tomorrow once I take a look "into" the engine whats wrong there...
Thanks,
George

Re: How to remove the oilsump
G'Morning! Have started to fight with my oilsump. What I did so far: - supported the gearbox - supported the front axle (left and right side close to the wheels) - lifted the weight of the engine with a crane - removed all screws from the oilsump And now? The Oilsump is liked glued to the engine. Is...

Do I need to lift the full front of the tractor at the engine or do I also need to support a bit under the gearbox?

No, it was not so loud. I know the noise of a broken rod or damaged crankshaft bearings... But there is no other way. Have start to open it at both sides... One question: didn't took a look at the sump so far. How to remove it. Is it as usual in cars, just some screws from the bottom or do I need to...

Hi guys... Thanks. Yes, it will be either something with a valve or with the piston /pistonring... Think she need to park now till summer and then I will see whats going on inside...
