Advice on Dexta injector seal kit ?

I have a 3 cyl. Dexta diesel. One of the injectors is pumping diesel fuel onto the outside of the engine. I assume that I need to replace seals that go from the injectors into the head? I'm having trouble finding a seal kit offered online. Does anyone have a recommendation of somewhere I can order t...

Re: Dexta Hydraulics still bleeding off !!!

Update: Ok... yes Brian, I am operating in position control, not draft control. I actually made it out to the farm this weekend, but with the crazy amounts of rain we've had this spring I had to spend my time trying to mow instead of having time to work on the tractor much. I did make some headway t...

Searching for original Fordson Dexta seat

I am searching for this seat in the United States only. I am not concerned with the seat pad or backrest pad. The pan and the bracket are the main thing I am after. I would entertain paying a reasonable price for this item, but this is not for a restoration, so no, I'm not going to pay $100+ for a s...

Re: Engine Oil

It was recommended in my original 1958 Dexta operator's handbook that the engine and gearbox should have 30 wt. HD. Oddly, it doesn't seem to specify an oil weight for the rear end. Assuming at this point that it would be the same as the others. From personal experience and problems with my hydrauli...

Re: Dexta Hydraulics still bleeding off !!!

Yeah Brian, while I would love to have an excuse to throw my lift into a suitcase and cross the pond, it would probably be cheaper for me to just replace my old blue girl with something from this century and from this continent. I will be making the trek out to the farm this weekend and I will hopef...

Re: Dexta Hydraulics still bleeding off !!!

Thanks you Brian. I live in Andover, KS just east of Wichita. My tractor lives just north of Fall River, KS which makes things even more difficult. I am only able to make the 1 hour drive on the weekends to mow and lately... work on the tractor. Anyhow, my auxiliary service control knob has been stu...

Dexta Hydraulics still bleeding off !!!

I have inherited a 1958 Dexta in decent running condition. My issue is that it's used predominantly for mowing with a bush hog and the hydraulics keep bleeding off. I've had the top cover off several times. I've replaced the o-rings including the one on the piston. Everything looks to be in good ord...
