Hi All,

It has drum brakes fitted, so it is not an Ebro Super 55. However, there was more than one model Ebro and I believe this is a Ebro based on the 42 horse power New Major.

Roadless63,

The Super Major had a triangular shaped decal at the rear of the bonnet with the word 'LIVE'. It was colored either red or orange. This disappeared when the New Performance Super Major arrived as it had a Fordson decal in approx. the same position.

Message for Aussie Frank.

Frank,

When I had my new Loom made, I retained the old one, so if you need to borrow one let me know.

If the tractor is fitted with lights and generator there are two looms involved.

Mervyn, The photos supplied give us a few clues to the year of this tractor. Firstly. It is fitted with the four vertical position drawbar and this arrived in January 1947. Secondly. The remains of the electrics show the 'kidney dish' electrical box and this was phased out in February/March 1949. So...

Kev, The 510E shows in the August 1963 Price List as 100BHP at 2500RPM for the replacement or conversion of truck engines ONLY. It was priced at 648 POUND AUS. I would have thought the truck Flywheel would have been quite abit lighter than the tractor version. Also, for interest sake, the 590E shows...
