I took the small selector rod housing off (4 x 3/8 bolts), removed the rod & levered the seal out. I used loctite liquid gasket. Watch the detent ball when you pull the rod out.

Nothing you need to be careful of. I used 2 of 20mm x 38mm x 7mm metric seals with a dab of sealer.
