Thanks for the advice guys, I've given the seal and bearings a good dose of oil and assembled the crank and pistons and everything seems to be turning okay!

Re: Crankshaft Rope Seal
Ah right thanks, yeah it did. I soaked the ropes in oil for a few hours before hand and fitted them okay, i just wasn't sure how free the crank should be, i guess I've fitted them okay though. Thanks again

Crankshaft Rope Seal
Hi there, I've just fitted the rear crankshaft rope seal and crankshaft into my Super Dexta engine. The crank seems a little stiff to turn and i am sure this is down to the rope seal, however I'm pretty sure I have fitted it correctly. The crankshaft can be turned by had but takes a fair bit of forc...

Engine Rebuild - Gaskets
Hi there, I now have all the parts to complete my Dexta engine rebuild which I am planning to do this weekend. This is my first engine rebuild and I want to do it right! I have a full gasket kit and I am just wondering if the paper and cork gaskets need any form of gasket sealer on the sealing surfa...

Re: Oil in Clutch Housing

Thanks for the advice.

Re: Oil in Clutch Housing
Haha sorry I'm not doing very well with adding these photos! Thanks, both the clutch plates were soaked in oil so i dismantled the whole thing and gave it a real good clean up, keeping an eye on the orientation of all the pieces. The actual clutch assembly itself is in great shape, it was just all p...

Oil in Clutch Housing
Hi there, Recently I split my Super Dexta to rebuild the engine. Upon splitting the tractor I found thick oil residue on the inside of the bell housing and both clutch plates were soaked in oil. Re: Super Dexta Cylinder Head Questions
Thanks for the help guys, I will get the machine shop to look at the head surface and cut the valve seats, I will look into how to lap the valves in, the process looks simple enough from what I've seen so far so I should manage. I'll have a go at chipping the deposits off and if that fails I get hol...

I have bought an Agriline engine overhaul kit for it which I am going to fit, however I need the liners to be professionally pressed and bored into the engine block. I have recently taken t...
