when you have rewired the tractors have you wired them as positive or negative earth? would it matter to the loom how it is wired?

Hi thanks for the reply but I have thet diaghram and it still does'nt match exactly, the ignition/light switch seems to be different.

The top picture is a photo of the plate on my Dexta, I posted it some time ago. The tractor is early 1958, Serial No 957E 834, and the plate would appear to be original fitting, although it was covered in black from the exhaust and I only found it when I was fitting a new clutch plate. Got the plates now, dunlop tractor spares had them in stock. 8) Did you establish with dextas had these plates? Pretty sure mine only ever had the small one. I'm not sure, I now know mine had it from new and mine is a 1961, but could'nt tell you how long they were used for, I will post up a pic lat...

Hi All I'm wondering if anyone can help, I'm lookin for the larger of the 2 plates thats rivited to the bulkhead of the dexta, it has the starting insturctions on it. Its hardly the north east but there is a guy on the Isle of Lewis thats sells parts from alot of different tractors, but I would say that ebay is probably your best bet.

Time is coming nearer to paint the dexta and Im wondering what paint people have used? there are a few different ones on ebay. fuel pump diaphragm
Yesterday I changed the diaphram in the back of the fuel pump, I was just wondering if there was an easy way to do this as it was a right fiddly job trying to get the split pin out from behind the rubber.
