Re: Looking For Bracket to connect Front Cowl To Rad
That picture was taken on initial delivery of Annabelle. Previous owner named her so I'm just going to keep calling it that. All new hoses, rad cleaned and pressure tested.Come spring it all comes apart again as I have to drill and remove a bunch of broken bolts and retap the holes. It spent the sum...

Re: Looking For Bracket to connect Front Cowl To Rad
Sorry for poor description. Its a L shaped bracket that is threaded on one end and is bolted right by the hood/bonnet latch catch on the front nose piece. It is then inline with the mounting hole on the side of the rad. Looks like a piece of 5/16 or 1/4 inch round stock threaded on one end and curled...

Looking For Bracket to connect Front Cowl To Rad
Good Day Fordson people. Ran into a bit of a dead end in search for a bracket for the right side of my cowl to rad. Searched as many dealers as I could (new piece) but so far out of luck. My machine is a 64 Super Major NP c/w FEL and backhoe. No PTO or 3 point hitch assembly. Can anyone point me in ...

Generator gone through by rebiuld shop. Do I need to Flash
Howdy to all Fordson Gurus. Just got my generator back from the rebiuld shop and was wondering to I have to "flash" it and if so how? They said it was in good shape other then needing a bearing and the brushes were getting short. So got them to put in two bearings and the brushes. Thanks all for you...

Re: injector pump drive oil seal
Yes you are very correct about the internet. Glad you never took my words the wrong way. And I envy you folks that could move a loader/forklift etc like they were race cars. Me, like its a old logging truck, slow and timid. OK time for me to hit the hay and call it a night. Work starts early here in...

Re: injector pump drive oil seal
Thank you very much for your quick reply. I was not trying to start "something". Just wanted to point out something that is sometimes overlooked by others not so well versed in the mechanical trades. I loved working in sawmills . They were places where you made sure things got fixed to last till the...

Re: injector pump drive oil seal
Nice pics and millwright approved removel process. Just please clean the shaft off before removel of the seal to help
prevent the exterior dirt from entering your timing gear area.

Re: Song Link
Maybe a nice blue grass tune like the swedish tractors idleing away. Enjoyed that one. Gonna put in a plug for my son's band folks. Check out Portiia on you tube. He's the mandolin player and write most of his own music. But no vocals. Latter folks back to replacing the exhaust on my ladies 06 Mitsu...

Re: Rescuing an old Major. (Maybe)
You sir are keeping me from getting lazy about going through my machine. That oil pick up screen was enough to put the "dump the sump" and pull the screen at the top of the list. Was just going to change the filter and oil and live with it until I hook up my new from india gen, oil pressure guage an...

Re: Rescuing an old Major. (Maybe)
Wow good work Sir. Nice to see your labor and time investment work out. Quite enjoy following your story about your tractor rescue. My injection pump delemma followed yours but you had better luck. Mine was rusted solid after 10 years of British Columbia weather. Can't wait to read more about your a...
