Unfortunately it's not as simple as that, E1ADKN-7255 was used till 08C-960337, when it was replaced by E1ADDN-7255, with the previous part no longer available. This points to the metric bearing even more. Try it and see how it feels.

I would see if you can get a shrouded bearing, they're much better for this job. Probably is worth measuring the flywheel, but it all points to the metric mearing at the moment.

The manual says the position control spring has 10.7 coils and is 1.96" long under 72 lbs and 1.52" under 152 lbs. I think your new spring will still not work but see if it improves anything or not.

Thanks for letting us know that Speedograph don't do them anymore, although the Fordson ones are AC, whereas Spedograph are mainly Smiths.

See how it fits, if it feels very tight swap it for a higher clearance bearing, you've got a sealed bearing, which is an unusual choice for a pilot bearing, they're normally of the shrouded type. Good bearings are always worth using.

Now seen the whole thing, I'm not keen on some of the things they do, but they did fix it. Didn't see them opening the unloading valve plug (a common problem).
