I am having trouble fitting a new exhaust spark arrestor to the cast iron / steel exhaust elbow, any ideas other that grinding the inside?
It will not fit more than 1/2 way down.

Don't forget, everything is back to front when you go down under

Mine is a Diesel, and I am concerned about how the front able support is constructed, and what load it can take.
I guess if it holds the front axle, it can take some loading.
But I am a civil engineer, and am concerned about loading that part incorrectly.

The loader I am looking at mounts about the front axle some how. It is different from the type which has a T shaped fixing frame from the rear axle extending forwards. It has something generally flat or a piece of heavy angle iron, sitting near the front axle extending rearwards to the bell housing ...

I am trying to find out how eo fit a Horn draulic to my Dexta.
Its not a model; 500, 501, 502, or 506.
It looks like an earler version, made with curved pipe with oxy cut flanges.
I cannot work out how to mount it to the tractor chassis.
can anybody help please?

For a man who races sidecars, I have always had a concern about stepping off my tractor in front of the rear wheels, yet road racing next to walls etc is no concern. I have been trying to work out a way to extend the footplates so when I step off the Dexta, I am outside the line of the rear wheel. H...

I think your response is informative, as a matter of interest I could make the changes, but as a newcomer, there may be a bit of apprehension.
Back to the search function, you often get huge amounts of data presented and its hard to work through.
Hence my suggestion .

I hope it does not appear very presumptuous of me to suggest the topics be re ordered into smaller groups. Currently it is difficult to read through the 2600 topics. I have worked with a similar site and the sections were broken down to say, Engine, rear axle, front end, Implements, PTo, Hydraulics....

I love the range of implements and am keen to see more I can make here in Australia
