weeeeeeell i paid 250 for it... he wanted 300 for it. just looking to get my money back tbh. sad to have no use for it as i learnt all about it and was gonna have a boat that ran on waste veg oil! and its not smoky, runs good and has all the bits including the generator and a good starter. will pass...

thanks mate, i managed to get one in the end off a stationary welder- no smoke- due to an unforseen accident on my boat it is now for sale! as i cant install it.

Hi, I am looking for a replacement Fordon Major engine unit- doesnt need ancilliaries and even just a good block will do-
Its to go into a boat installation so could do with being the industrial type but if a tractor one would fit that would be fine too,
have cash waiting and im in the uk!

Yep where are you? I need a new engine block for my boat in the uk....

the stationary/industrial version is the unit iam seeking- which is the one you have i believe-

right then had an investigate... the alternator is a YV 1925 12V- found out what the issue was- tis a faulty regulator alright- n0ot sure if its the diodes but the brushes one side are worn becasue the installation monkey bodged it and left it on the pulley at an angle- hence the request about a fix...

I have recently bought a beast of a boat with a beast of an engine- a fordson no less, 4 cylinder, simms pump etc all the same as the tractors- now the chap i bought it off hooked up an alternator to her- all well and good but the thing drops charge periodically- he assures me...
