Re: New Performance Super Major raised PTO shaft

I'm pretty sure you need thr raised box too, if you want to ude the model with end bearing. I have one old model without the bearing and 1:3 ratio. And one later with end bearing but still 1:3 ratio. The correct for new performance i s 1:1 ratio. Also you need to change your hydraulic pump gear.

I have 16.9 x30 on two of my Super Majors. And the one is stamped "Enfo HD " . I believe it stands for English ford heavy duty.

Re: Kverneland plough

my father used also kverneland 3x16 behind his super major in the

late 70's start 80's before we got a 75' ford 5000.

But I believe the i14" pluogh is more correct for major, if you want to stay on standard track width ?

Re: Fordson Industrial Engine serial Numbers

I wonder about something - the list describe the 510 as a
Thames trader engine , I have a 510 engine from a combine
which I then will believe is a industrial engine .

Re: Roadless width

I was just looking in the instructionbooks for old supermajor
and the book for n/p super major

in the old book (60-62) only one ratio is mentioned , on
n/p both 3.5 and 4.375:1 are mentioned

Re: roadless/selene axle diagram

the diff house is already sitting in the right side , but is made for reverse driving (like on loaders) The gears do not fit the other way in the housing. If the axle is from a backloader you have to put it upside down to get it right for a normal Major. Ok but then the drive shaft will turn forwar...
