checked engine oil. no sign of water contamination.must be condensation and worn seal on water pump.No history of dexta as owner passed away.RIP.All he used it for was driving to and from the pub.its just slow picking up the revs and low in power.maybe a hard days work needed i hope.

thanks Jos.just looked inside oil filler cap and noticed a white gunk on valve springs and traces of water.also it leaked water at water pump.thaught it was a waterpump problem but must be a cracked head.need to conduct examination!

engine slow to pick up

when i put my superdexta in high third its very slow to pick up after i give it trottle.whats the most likely diagnosis and remedy.it may have been parked up for a while as i don't know the history of this tractor .thanxs

Yeah thinking it was an akward job!Noticed it when changing axil seals. Wish i never saw it. Have a lot of work for her this time of year.

drive pinion bearing

Noticed a damaged bearing on drive pinion shaft.Do i need to split gearbox from back end to replace this? Also do i need pullers to remove bearing?Is this a major job as i am a one man show?

Yeah, thats exactly what i was looking for.thanks! Also i am going to replace the PTO back seal. Should i do this when the top cover is off or can i do this via the back housing.Great tractor but just leaks constantly.

removing rear axle

Need to replace rear axle seals on 59 powermajor. To remove the axle can i just split it at the half axle and take apart?Someone told me that i need to remove the hydrolic top cover and loosen some nuts there first. Could anyone walk me through the proper proceedure as i'm a novice and :beer: don't ...
