I might have a block that might be ok , its an industrial one so the front plate no good for you , will need new liners , will post some numbers off the block to cross reference, oh buy the way I am in Yorkshire

great pictures

shows the starting carburettor on the tvo manifold , believe they didn't work so my old major has the dual tap on the fuel tank .

cheers for the info rick I got a bit of twin core and did like you said , she sparks lovely , got our lass to hold the wires so I wouldn't get a belt :D how much are they asking in the comics , I've got it on eBay starting price of £50 don't know if it's too much or too less to be asking? thanks aga...

it does not have any leads , have had a look inside the distributor cap and it looks like it's never been used.

I will make some leads up and give it a go

aye up have rebuilt the whole front end on my 4000 , to to remove the front axle you need to undo the four bolts that hold the front pivot bush housing which should have lock wire threaded through the bolt heads, once that's out it should just pull out , the pivot pins in my axle were wielded in , t...

the old girl in in two half's now and the clutch and flywheel have been removed , the clutch looks in excellent condition with plenty on meat left on the plates, so just going to do thrust and pilot bearings , crank oil seal and frost plugs, no sigh of an oil leak from input shafts so not sure weath...

hello the old 4000 has a oil leak , black oil from the split pin bottom of the clutch housing and quite a bit as well so will need immediate attention. she is a pre force 4000 but not with original engine maybe has an engine from a 4600? as the dipstick is on the other side and you fill engine oil b...

aye up bob was hoping to re-use my pistons as i will probably not find any better ones , rings and liners should be same as the diesel , my next job is get the crank , cam and head sorted it may still be beyond repair, not done out to the old girl recently been busy with other jobs. if i find a sour...
