i have got the turnover linkage working ok now after a bit of work, have got the lift rods sorted on the tractor, the lh arm had no thread left on the adjuster screw so i had to cut it off and weld a new bit in, just need to get the boards cleaned up with flap discs on the small grinder and it shoul...

i have a book for mine its a ts 80 the turnover linkage is slightly different, there is a ratchet pawl in the mechanism this was seized i freed it up but it has made no difference, the connecting rod is starting to bend when you trip the plough, it needs to go over centre but the linkage wont allow,...

ok i have a book for it, this is the first reversible plough i have had and it has needed a bit of work, there is a ratchet pawl in the turnover mechanism this was seized, i have got this freed off and will try it again on the tractor, it is an international 584 that i am using this on and it strugg...

LEAKING INJECTOR PUMP

HI STARTED DEXTA TODAY AND NOTICED DIESEL LEAKING FROM BOTTOM OF INJECTOR PUMP, THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED BEFORE, THE LIFT PUMP IS DRY AND DOES NOT SEEM TO BE COMING FROM ANY PIPES, I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY FUEL AT LEAK OFF PIPE, IS THIS THE EXCESS FUEL FINDING ITS WAY OUT? ANY HELP APPRECIATED THANKS.

i too had that problem with the clips, i fixed the grill with a small self tapper screw and just used the chrome clips for show

my injector leak off pipe has no fuel coming out of it, i read on another forum that if no fuel is present at the pipe then the excess fuel will enter the engine via injector and will collect in sump causing wear to crank bearings, is this true?

hi thanks for the reply, the engine is old and worn out has quite a bit of backpressure, so maybe it wont take much more power,the tractor was saved from the scrapheap so it doesnt really matter if it goes bang, on the old fordson forum there is a post from someone that fitted a turbo to their dexta...

plough setup

Hi anyone get advice for seting up a single furrow plough on a dexta, not sure of the make it has a knive cutter instead of a disc, new to ploughing but just want to be able to turn a small plot over to plant spuds any help will be appreciated

anyone get any advice on ploughing with the dexta, have bought a single furrow plough for it but hydraulics do no seem to work in draft mode without pushing lever towards axle, can the plough be used in position mode without a depth wheel

starts first time from cold with thermostart plug, is not to smokey but it does spend a bit of time idling, does not seem to be losing any water either

any one know why my dexta has started putting oil out the exhaust bonnet is covered in dots of oil and there is a drip from the hole in the bottom of the exhaust manifold

have a look on ebay for kit car throttle linkage its a 7 or 8mm threaded rod with small rod ends i used this and did the job great
