Power Steering Cylinder
Hey guys and gals, I have a 61 super major, with power steering. The cylinder had been leaking, so I brought it in for repair. They charged me 175 bucks to "fix" it, and it still leaks. They replaced a kit in it, but what they didnt do is change the seals on the shaft, you know the ones that a perso...

(you guys hate me now dont ya?:D) Unfortunately, I dont really need a complete project as i have a few others that are much much more rare th...

Thanks for the replies guys, I just wanted to post a picture I have of it, and again wanted to triple check that pieces from this tractor (particularly the 3 point hitch stuff) wont (or more hopefully will!) work for my tractor! http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo351/preppypyro/IMG_4192.jpg Thanks...

Three Point Hitch Arms Fit?
Hey guys n gals, do any of you know if the three point hitch arms from a power major (or any other model of Fordson) would fit on a 1961 super major?
I have a chance to buy a complete tractor for parts, but I believe it to be a power major, and I have a super major.

I dont know why other then maybe I have just used it a few times now, and have gotten it back in its "groove" or working properly. Seems my main ...

I just wanted to update this thread. My problem for the poor starting, was a few connections that needed new wires, and connectors. I kinda left it at that, and I think everything is gonna work ok again, I tested the lights and horn and everything works as it did before, so I am thinking maybe someo...

Thanks for the reply. The reason why I thought I possibley put the battery in backwards, is when I got the tractor, it was hooked up with the ground to the positive terminal. It didnt turn over that way, so I switched it to the "proper" way (in my head it was the proper way) and it worked. I dont re...

Positive Earth Battery Question
Hey guys n gals. I have been having a few problems with my starter cranking the engine over very slowly. I have a fully charged battery, and the tractor starts with a pull very very easy. Now I kinda started looking into it last night, and I was reading these tractors had a positive ground. When I r...

Picture Request
Hey guys I was wondering if any of you out there might be able to provide me with a few pictures. Basically I am working on the three point hitch controls that are in front and underneath the seat, and it seems like mine is "hacked" up a little. I have seen there are different types and kinds of con...

Just wanted to update. I adjusted my clutch pedal, and at first nothing changed. I then engaged the pto lever, started the tractor, and it started to work fine! The "live" pto still isnt live though, as in whenever I step on the clutch with the pto engaged, it quits turning, so I will have to look i...

Thanks again for the reply. I will do a little searching and looking to find all the ports and pieces that you described for me (which was an awesome description!) Thanks very much for the reply. The tractor has the words "live PTO" on the shift pattern plate, and yes the high range is up, and not down. I did check for the pin in the clutch, and there is no pin, I didnt check the movement on the clutch though, and will adjust that to the 1/2 inch. I assume tha...

Hey there guys n gals. I recently got my fordson super major up and running after it has been sitting for 4-5 years. Hey guys and gals. I recently got a 60's Fordson super major given to me, that hasnt been ran in a few years. I had towed the tractor home with my f250, and immediately liked the tractor. I noticed right away the live pto, and the diff lock features. The bad is the plungers in the injector pump were...
