Re: Smiths hydraulic unit
Robert thanks very much for the info I have a top drive but it is for a high ratio box, looking at your info, if I exchange the gears for correct ratio cogs the unit should be transferable
thanks once again

Re: Smiths Hydraulic Unit
Hi Chris
got the hydraulic unit to work but it won't kick itself out and it seems a bit slow, also there is a delay when you select lift or lower before it works, don't know weather to strip it down or not what do you think, is it a difficult job.
cheers

Smiths Hydraulic Unit
Can anyone advise me what is needed to join the output shaft from the top of the gearbox to the Hydraulic unit under seat, I am left with two shafts, one from each unit looks like I need a piece of metal shaped like a cross to join them together, any ideas or help is appreciated.

Re: E27n poor performance
Tim, your manifold is different, don't know how to upload photos, so I will try to explain. On the right hand side of the manifold in your photo you have an adjusting cam attached to the manifold with a nut, on mine the nut holds a circular spacer about quarter of an inch thick, on yours the arm dro...

Re: E27n poor performance
Thanks Tim don't know how to adjust the manifold to setting there is no adjustment just what looks like a very rusty bolt,Mmmm I will give it turn and see what happens, can't afford to run this on Petrol fuel consumption is ridiculous, but then it's a 4 litre side valve, might look for a Perkins to ...

Re: E27n poor performance
Hi since my post earlier I have taken the plugs from cylinders 1 and 2 and put them in 3 and 4 once fired up the unburnt fuel dried and cylinders 1 and 2 chocked up, so anyway I now realise that I have two duff plugs. so a set of plugs will be bought.
