Re: Dexta Radiator Guard
Not sure if guards were standard fit, might have been supplied as part of a loader kit or just home made, The one shown in the photo's can be altered so that it sits flat and could be used to carry items, maybe a weight of some sort? will post a photo of it in the other position soon.

Help! Can anybody I.D my loader
Hi All. Just bought a loader for my Dexta (1958) Was told that the loader was complete but seem to be missing a couple of mounting brackets. Think the loader may be a Horndraulic loader but it has no plate or makers marks. The loader arms are made of box section steel and the bucket has a trip relea...

Re: Thinking of buying a Dexta, Now the proud owner
Did some work on the Dexta today. Fitted new primer pump, and sorted wiring problem with heater plug, and finally got it to start without whiff. Result. :D Was unable to remove fuel tank so struggled a bit with fitting new pump. Steering wheel siezed solid onto splines, tried pullers penetrating oil...

Thinking of buying a Dexta, Now the proud owner
Finally bought the Dexta I had looked at a few weeks ago, Road registered, V5, New rear tyres. Overall condition fair, tin worm been at work around the edges of some of the tin work but all repairable. Still starting on whiff, but no primer pump, so a new primer and heater plug ordered so with a bit...

Re: Going to look at a major
Went to see major last night. Casting numbers etc all about the same X6N , X8N , X12N . If I am right in my working out the codes I came up with the date of 6th to the 12th of November 1955. serial number seemed to start with 133 Which also tied tractor to 1955. The only problem that the seller left...

Re: Thinking of buying a dexta
Will be going back in a week or two to have another look, seller told me that he will have it started by then and i will be able to check it all out . Not a great fan of easy start myself, engines seem to get used to it and rely on it, would rather get to the cause of the problem and sort it.
